Caring For Your Nautical Star Tattoos

Taking proper care of your star tattoo begins the instant the tattoo is done. First of all, the tattoo should be covered with a waterproof  bandage. As much as possible, you should avoid getting the tattoo wet for around two weeks. You should do this especially if you have several colors on your tattoo. It will help preserve the color and design longer.

There are several cleaning products you can use on your tattoo to keep it clean as well as preserve its color and design. Many of them are lotions or oil-based creams. The main objective is to keep the nautical star tattoos clean and moisture free.

Don’t be disappointed to see your tattoo fade a little during the first month. This is to be expected. You can get some additional advice from the tattoo artist, or schedule a touch-up with him if you want the colors adjusted.
