TB25 LMP Toubleshooting

The TB25 LMP is used in quite few models of Toshiba televisions. However, the main problem with this model is it runs out fairly quickly and most users don’t know how to figure out if their TB25 LMP is malfunctioning or if it is the software on their TV. The TB25 LMP is located in the housing unit located in the back of your television, it varies on the actual placement on your model that you have. Some models it is located in the upper part of the television and some near the middle. It is fairly easy to locate because it will be screwed in, probably with 2-4 Philips head screws. Unscrew these and pop the housing out.

After you do this you will notice the housing unit has basically two parts, the front and the back. There are screws that hold these two pieces together, remove them and then pull them apart. Once you get them apart you will be able to see the back of the bulb and will probably notice that it is screwed into the front now you can remove those and pull the bulb out of the housing unit.

The TB25 LMP is exactly like any normal light bulb in the essence that you can shake it and if you hear a clinking noise it is probably bad and should be replaced. Now that you know how to disassemble the housing unit you can simply place a new bulb in the unit and power your television on and make sure you did it right.

Finding a Two Line Cordless Telephone

I have purchased four different cordless phones is a month and returned all but one of them. The very first phone I picked up was the Motorola but the sound quality was shoddy with lots of echoes. It also had this little problem where it would just shut the answering machine off erasing all of the messages every time you replaced the phone into the cradle. Obviously, there was something very wrong with this two line cordless telephone.

Next I picked up the Panasonic GigaRange and I have had that for just a few days now. Compared to the Motorola cordless phone, the sound on this one is fine. Not excellent, but okay. And I wish I could crank up the volume a bit on the handset. Other than that, all of the features seem to work well and I find that the talking caller id feature is quite a hit around the house.

1 Week Update:

Everything on the Panasonic seems to still be working as advertised. I have not tried out all of the features yet, but I have tried quite a few of them and they mostly seem well designed and helpful. One disappointing thing however is that this cordless two line telephone is not expandable like I thought that it was when I purchased the phone. Even so, with all the trouble I had getting to this phone, that seems to work pretty well, I think I will let that slide and keep it.

And one last note. I just now discovered that the phone allows you to subscribe to the caller IQ service which will retrieve weather reports as well as other information right to the phone. Pretty cool I thought. And finally, you can import all of you Outlook addresses from your address book right into the phone contact list by going through the Panasonic website. This will save you a ton of work.
