It might be because I’m ignorant in the ways of checking out fine jewelry, but it seems to me that there is actually quite a bit of really nice “fake” stuff out there. I happened upon a television advertisement on a shopping channel for some of the faux jewelry that seems to be popular today and to be honest, I was quite impressed. There were cheap rings for women that definitely would have fooled my untrained eye. If I was to get into collecting bling, I think I’d be a big fan of shows like that. It seemed to me that they had truckloads of really nice stuff that I was totally fooled by. Of course who is to say that it doesn’t look really cheap when it isn’t lit perfectly in a studio, but it sure fooled me.
