Some people just look for a reason to buy things they like. Of course, sometimes there is a practical reason for a purchase that isn’t necessarily a necessity. Every year a friend of mine buys herself a Christmas purse. I asked her how she got into the habit and she replied that her mother had always done it when she was growing up and actually introduced her to the family tradition when she turned thirteen.
It turns out that there are a lot of people who purchase special Christmas purses every year. Sometimes these purses are actually decorated in a holiday fashion, but other times, it is just a reason to pick up a nice new purse to carry along with a special holiday outfit. Whatever the reason, it seems like a nice tradition to me.
