Spread chilli pepper near where you dont want the dog to go. It is burning to their sensitive noses. The aroma of ammonia is also a good deterrent. Rubbing alcohol and vinegar are also strong smelling substances that will irritate the smelling senses of the dog thus making them to go away.
Dogs have very sensitive noses and the afformentioned things will definitely deter dogs from the places that you do not want them to go. Spread these around and Fido will stay away.
