When considering making your own jewelry you  will consider whether to use glass or plastic beads. I believe that glass beads add a touch of class over plastic any day, and that the quality of the glass beads you use can also affect the final result. Murano glass beads are considered to be amongst the best glass beads in the world, and they have had this reputation for hundreds of years no less! Murano glass beads have been made in a small factory just outside Venice since 1292. Originally the quality of the glass(soda ash) produced there earned their reputation, but since then their skill has kept it going. Murano beads often known as Venetian beads incorporate many different styles and designs and are used around the world by designers of repute.
