We all headed over to Lynn Creek Park on the 4th, to go see the Joe Pool Lake Fireworks in Grand Prairie. We knew we wanted to get there early so we headed out of the city hours before dark. There were still plenty of people already there in the park at seven, when we arrived. We were really glad we brought a table to set up our picnic on. All the park picnic tables were taken.
The fireworks were just as good as last year but we had a better time. This had a lot to do with this being our second time to the show so we were better prepared. Shanny kept wanting to go to the swimming beach, since she remembered that from our visit here last month. Eventually, with all the lights flashing and booming taking place, she forgot all about that!
