Often, graphic designers work completely behind the scenes; while their work might become famous, only people in the business actually know their names. When you’re busy creating identities for people and companies, I guess it’s pretty easy to overlook the fact that your identity is important to. You can create logos, design websites, go over layout designs, and do all sorts of other graphic design jobs without anyone other than your employers ever knowing anything about you. That’s why it is so important for a graphic design artist to create an identity for them selves. They can make their own personal or company logo to go on their portfolios, websites, business cards, resumes, and anything else that can help build a reputation.
Of course, throughout history their have been tons of famous graphic designers. The catch is, hardly anyone realized that they were graphic designers. There are an incredibly large amount of jobs that people don’t even realize involve graphic design. In fact, most forms of artwork are based on design. Every piece of artwork has composition, balance, color(s), and many other aspects of graphic design. It’s amazing that most graphic designers never receive public recognition for their work when they are the ones who have to go through all the steps of combining the components of graphic design in order to come up with an effective way to convey a message through visual mediums.
