If you’re ready to relax and you don’t have the luxury of getting to the beach of some tropical paradise whenever you want, the next best thing is to enjoy something that ‘virtually’ takes you back there. For me and my wife, that is Puerto Rican rum. Because of our experiences there, which was absolutely fantastic, whenever we sit down to enjoy a mellow drink and mix in some rum from the island, we immediately get transported back to the beautiful beaches in our minds. The smell of the ocean, the gentle breeze on our faces, gently rocking the hammock stretched between a couple of tall palm trees… it’s magical. The other wonderful thing about being able to take such a mini vacation that evokes such a strong visceral response is that it reminds us of how badly we want to be able to travel not only there again, but where ever we want, whenever we want. We’ll get there.
