TB25 LMP Toubleshooting

The TB25 LMP is used in quite few models of Toshiba televisions. However, the main problem with this model is it runs out fairly quickly and most users don’t know how to figure out if their TB25 LMP is malfunctioning or if it is the software on their TV. Rather than send it in for diagnosis, which can run around $200 without shipping your television, you can follow some very quick and simple steps to find out if you need a replacement TB25 LMP.

The TB25 LMP is located in the housing unit located in the back of your television, it varies on the actual placement on your model that you have. Some models it is located in the upper part of the television and some near the middle. It is fairly easy to locate because it will be screwed in, probably with 2-4 Philips head screws. Unscrew these and pop the housing out.

After you do this you will notice the housing unit has basically two parts, the front and the back. There are screws that hold these two pieces together, remove them and then pull them apart. Once you get them apart you will be able to see the back of the bulb and will probably notice that it is screwed into the front now you can remove those and pull the bulb out of the housing unit.

The TB25 LMP is exactly like any normal light bulb in the essence that you can shake it and if you hear a clinking noise it is probably bad and should be replaced. Now that you know how to disassemble the housing unit you can simply place a new bulb in the unit and power your television on and make sure you did it right.
