These are the biggest event of the year in terms of mountainboarding. Whilst racing is big, and in most competitions gets the most competitors, it is the freestyle that draws in the crowds and sponsors the most. After a number of years of the event being sponsored by Fat Face, in 2009 the event was put together by Bugsboarding – a leading UK mountainboard centre with the support of MBS Mountainboards, the leading board brand. The site was prepped and looked the best it ever had. There was a huge rider turn out and best of all the weather held. In the end Tom Kirkman claimed the championship title again after a number of years out due to injury. It was a fantastic return to form and you could tell he was loving it. We cannot wait until next year when the competition is bound to get bigger and better.
